Languages of the Congress

 
French and English are the official languages of the Congress. Please mention on the form which language you wish to use for your correspondence. Congress documents will be written in both languages.
 
Simultaneous translation

* Simultaneous translation in French, English, Spanish, German and other languages will be available during the
plenary sessions.
 
* Some of the sympo sia and scientific sessions will be translated simultaneously into various languages, according
to the topic.
 

Presentations during the Congress

French or English are recommended for all presentations. Speakers wishing to use a different language should
specify it on the abstract form. They will be notified at a later date if simultaneous translation can be provided.
 
Correspondence

We recommend that you use either English or French when sending documents to the Congress Office or the Scientific Secretariat.

OPENING OF THE CONGRESS - PALAIS DES CONGRES

From 2:00PM, the participants to the Congress will be provided with congress material (badges, congress bags,
abstract book) at the front desk of the Congress organization, on the 3rd floor of the Palais des Congrès of Paris.
 
 
MONDAY, JUNE 26, 2000 7:00PM-9:30PM

OPENING CEREMONY

The Opening Ceremony will take place in the Grand Amphitheater at La Sorbonne University, in remembrance of the 1st International Psychiatry Congress which took place at La Sorbonne in 1950. The Opening Ceremony will be followed by a welcome cocktail in the Sorbonne's Grand Salon and Salle Péristyle, and will give the participants the opportunity to renew friendships, or meet new colleagues.
 
 
TUESDAY JUNE 27, 2000 9:30AM-10:45AM

OPENING SESSION

The Congress Opening Session will take place in the Palais des Congrès' Grand Auditorium, on the 2nd floor.
 
 
THURSDAY JUNE 29, 2000 7:00PM-11:30PM
CONGRESS GALA NIGHT

The Congress Gala Night will take place in the magnificent Palais Garnier. You will be invited to a private performance of " Giselle " by the main dancers of the most famous opera house in Paris. This performance will then be followed by a dinner in the beautiful foyers of the Opéra Garnier, and will provide the
opportunity to appreciate the high quality of the French gastronomy.

CLOSING CEREMONY

The Closing Ceremony will take place in the Grand Auditorium at the Palais des Congrès, on the 2nd floor.
