Attachment

(cf. video)

The attachment of the mother for his baby and of the baby for his mother can be rated by tests perfected in the USA. The attachment of the baby for his mother is rated by the "strange situation", suggested by Mary Ainsworth (see video). Another american woman, Mary Main, showed that this attachment should be genetically heritable. The important point is this planning of the attachment. That doesn't mean that the modes are irremovable. When the mother understands the nature of this attachment and wants to alter it, she can act positively on these attachment'modes which she feels unlucky for her. The attachment mecanisms, popularized by J. Bowlby, are actually very studied in the US. That doesn't mean that it is the only way to pass down things from generation to generation. We know the existence of a transgenerational attachment (see Mary Ainsworth et Mandat).
